Crispy Turkey Sausage & Cheese Rollups

I’m finally back! I’ve had some technical errors I’ve been sorting out on my website, and haven’t been able to post anything for a while.

Unfortunately I’m also the IT guy around here too. But here we are!

I’m not just building a brand here. I’m building an empire, and I like to be familiar with as many aspects of that as I can.

So without further ado.. I present these very delicious turkey sausage crispy dogs. I have a much fancier name up top, but lets call them what they are. My mom used to make us crispy dogs when we were kids. We went crazy over them too!

I just choose to eat a little healthier these days. I’m not a spring chicken anymore.

Start out by browning up a few turkey sausages over medium heat in a cast iron skillet. Always preheat your skillet first with a nice drizzle of olive oil before adding ANYTHING!

Next you wanna warm up both sides of a few tortillas in the skillet very lightly. It makes them more flexible when you assemble. Don’t let them go too long or they’ll crack when you try to roll them.

When they’re good and warm, pull it out, slap a piece of cheese on there, and lay your sausage diagonal to the cheese.

Now roll up each one and put a toothpick in the middle to keep them wrapped up tight.

Preheat your cast iron skillet in the oven at 350°. When it’s good and hot, pull it out and place your crispy dogs in there. Put them back in the oven for 5-10 minutes (until browned to your liking). Flip them over and do the same to the other side so that they’re evenly toasted.

Pull them out and now you just gotta try not to eat them all. Make sure you remove the toothpicks though and enjoy!
